About this course

IBUS has created a three-part suite of eLearning modules designed to introduce novice sonographers to Intestinal Ultrasound.


The eLearning modules contain expert presentations on bowel ultrasound to boost your theoretical knowledge.


The three eLearning modules are:
- Ultrasound Principles and Machine Familiarization
- Intestinal Ultrasound Preparation and Technique, and
- Ultrasonographic Features of the Normal and Abnormal Bowel

Please note: This course is best conducted using a desktop or tablet. It is not suitable for mobile phones as you will need to view and interpret ultrasound images as part of the assessment.

Additionally, this course contains video so that you will need sound.

About this Provider

IBUS aims to advance intestinal ultrasound (IUS) research, education and clinical applicability in the area of IBD. This is to ultimately improve personalised patient care and help contribute to management decisions and patient outcomes.

Can I access the next steps of the IBUS curriculum after completing this course?

This course is the initial component to the complete Intestinal Ultrasound training and accreditation offered by IBUS. Completion of this does not guarantee progression to further training by IBUS.

How can I access my payment receipt?
